Following a successful and prolific professional racing career. Bruno’s last racing season was 2011 with Barbot – Efapel, a Portuguese UCI Continental Team, where he suffered in the mountains of Spain and Portugal with the world’s best in competitions like Castilla y Leon, Vuelta Asturias, Tour of Algarve, Tour of Portugal, Vuelta a Rioja, & GP Llodio, competing against the likes of Alberto Contador, Tony Martin, Andre Greipel, Rui Costa, Ryder Hesjedal, John Degenkolb, Tiago Machado, Andre Cardoso and Samuel Sanchez.
Bruno is has enormous experience on the bike as a rider, bike fitter himself and coach. He’s known for his detail-obsessed ‘It gets done right or it’s not worth doing’ attitude. Bruno recently returned to pedaling form after a nice little break from racing.
Bruno is a fully insured USA Cycling Coach w/Safe Sport Training Certification.
At the age of 11, Bruno began racing mountain bikes and cyclocross which eventually led to the world of road racing. By the age of 16 he had won over 50 races, racing both domestically and internationally for Road and selected to the Portuguese National Team for the XC World Championships in Kaprun, Austria.
Upon turning 18 Bruno dedicated himself 100% to road racing where he was promoted to a Portuguese National U-23 Team. With his team he was able to get two wins and a second place podium and 6th & 4th overall in the U-23 Tour of Portugal, plus a Bronze Medal at the National Championship.
